Position Reports To (job title): VP - Collections

Location: Tarzana, CA

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supervising the collection department of Tuition Options. Duties include managing the daily activities of all collectors, achieving assigned compensation goals, monitoring, working individual accounts, setting parameters of auto dialer and building an effective team through training, coaching and mentoring. Responsibilities also include managing the day-to-day activities of all collection activities in a goal achieving and professional manner.

Job Functions:

1. Achieve desired corporate results of key advance schools in the areas of cash collections, cancellation reductions and implementation of best practice policies. (25%)

2. Coordinate all call campaigns, ensuring coverage on all accounts per corporate guidelines, as well as develop a light skip tracing program as directed by management. (25%)

3. Work specific collection queues on an individual basis as directed by management to achieve corporate results. (25%)

4. Ability to read and interpret reports, recognize trends and develop strategies to resolve issues in a quick, concise and accurate manner. (10%)

5. Ensure collection department works efficiently and effectively with other departments within the company. (5%)

6. Train, develop and hire all collectors under his/her supervision. Complete annual job evaluations and recommend salary increases. Handle any customer issues separately from the collections team and/or as escalated by management. (10%)

7. Ability to adapt to change and reprioritize tasks when necessary – able to adjust priorities based on work responsibilities and deadlines.

Qualifications:

Education: High school or some college

Experience: Must have minimum of 3 years of collection supervisory/management experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Collections experience in student loans, banking and/or retail preferred.
